Jessica Canty is an Account Executive and Director of Business Relations for LLPR and is a key contributor for new media clients. She is familiar with the challenges facing new media companies and believes that Public Relations is an important and often over-looked aspect of the success of any company providing content services online. Her knowledge about both the power and pit-falls of the internet is one key way in which she contributes to the LLPR client base.
In addition to her work for Lauren Lewis Public Relations and Communications she currently serves as a consultant for New Filmmakers Online and VLADICast, Inc. and in 2004 launched Cinterra Pictures, LLC. The company is currently in post-production its first feature-length Documentary film Namaste Nepal which will be completed in 2009.
Prior to launching Cinterra, Jessica gained over 5 years of experience in new media and digital content distribution, at CinemaNow, Inc. serving as Director of Acquisitions. This experience gave her an in-depth knowledge of Internet Distribution of Movies, Television and Music Videos, as she was responsible for negotiating contracts with all major movie studios, music lables and a number of "mini-majors" providing content to CinemaNow.
She worked closely with the Marketing and PR department during her time at CinemaNow and believes deeply in the importance of an ongoing positive presence in the media for anyone with a great new product, or an interesting story to tell.
